"The Thinker"

"The Thinker" is the artist's self-portrait.  

I think, and then I paint.  Then I think some more, and then I paint some more.  I find joy and challenge in the process of thinking, solving and painting.   A great artist once confirmed this by saying great paintings involve 80% thinking and 20% painting.  It is in the pre-planning that success becomes a more natural outcome.
